Mahaseth highlights Nepal’s Commitment to Peace at ICAPP

PHNOM PENH – Addressing the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Cambodia, Raghubir Mahaseth, Chief of the Department of Foreign Affairs of CPN-UML, underscored Nepal's dedication to peace and reconciliation under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Representing the CPN-UML and PM Oli, Mahaseth emphasized the need for courage, vision, and unity to achieve peace across Asia. Highlighting Nepal’s recent progress, he noted the parliament's unanimous endorsement of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act amendment as a step toward justice and healing.

Mahaseth praised ICAPP as a vital platform for fostering dialogue and cooperation among more than 350 political parties. He urged leaders to focus on shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity, emphasizing Asia's potential as a beacon of resilience and progress.

“Our strength lies in diversity, and our unity lies in a shared vision,” he stated, calling for collaboration to build bridges and find common ground across the region.
